At Home

Written for Carry On Tuesday’s prompt: A gloomy and a windy day

A gloomy and a windy day
Not much fun for a holiday
‘Twas all the more reason
To celebrate the season
At home in a leisurely way

  1. Love it – days like those invite family time, don’t you think?

  2. Lovely limerick and you did find an excuse to celebrate with family and friends!! 😀

  3. Leisure is the best. Enjoyed the simplicity (and truth!) here.

  4. Relax and enjoy the day. Nice words. I doubt that much flusteres you.

  5. When I read stuff and it is pure and yet simple…..I am impressed!

  6. We’re already looking forward (?) to a gloomy, rainy day when we travel to Elmira on Turkey Day. Fortunately, my husband’s family has bright eyes and warm hearts to spare.

Spare wording, straight to the point, nailed the prompt. As Ira Gershwin would say, “Who could ask for anything more?”
